Situated along Kentucky’s Highland Rim, Holmes Bend Campground is surrounded by forested tracks, rolling meadows and the pristine banks of Green River Lake.

Believed to be built after 1796, this cabin was once the home of Reverend Jeremiah Abell. Reverend Abell was a Presbyterian minister in Green County and the surrounding area during the late 18th and early 19th centuries.

Ezekiel Neal began acquiring land along the South Fork in Metcalfe County in 1832. In 1845 he began digging a well. With a hand and horse powered drill he hit water at a depth of 180 feet. The stream of water has flowed continually since then. Mr. Neal was attempting to hit a salt well,

We built our first cabin back in 2005 owning and maintaining all of our cabins.
