Wolf Creek Dam
1/1

Wolf Creek Dam is the 25th largest dam in the United States and the most monitored dam in the world!  Located by the Wolf Creek National Fish Hatchery in Jamestown, Kentucky, more than a mile long landmark, the Wolf Creek Dam was created to impound the Cumberland River and formed Lake Cumberland.  The Dam’s 6 turbines are capable of producing 270 megawatts of electricity. The name Wolf Creek comes from the original planned location for the Dam, which was several miles upstream near the confluence of Wolf Creek with the Cumberland River.  The location changed, the name stayed the same.
