Set in the heart of the Daniel Boone National Forest the Arthur Lakes Log Cabin is both easy to get to and relatively secluded. Nestled in a small valley, the quaint cabin is a perfect mountain getaway. Built in 1890, by the Lakes family, it has a romantic, rustic and nostalgic feel. If you are a history buff, interested in Appalachian culture, or just want a charming, outdoorsy and secluded getaway, this cabin is for you. After making your reservation, be sure to check out the House Manual. The cabin has one bedroom with a queen bed, Living room, a working Kitchen with stove and refrigerator, and a Bathroom with a tub (there is a shower head. It is not ideal for tall folks, but can be done). There is also a 2-mile hiking trail, a pond, and 3 barns on the property.
